Guided by its mission, PREA hosts several events throughout the year, including the recently concluded Annual Institutional Investor Conference held October 16-19 at the Grand Hyatt in Washington. Currently in its 29th year, the Annual Institutional Investor Conference reflected on the last 40 years of real estate investing and discussed the strategies that existing institutions, as well as new firms, must undertake to cope up with the ever-evolving real estate landscape. The conference featured sessions that tackled the changes in demographics, urban development, and the role of technology in real estate asset management. Several keynote speakers, including Rt. Hon. Gordon Brown, the former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, were invited to share best practices and insight.
