Data for the report came from Greenprint Center members, who are some of the leading real estate investors, owners, and financial institutions in the world. According to the report, Greenprint Center members are making significant progress in the reduction of water usage, waste disposal, energy consumption, and carbon emissions in their buildings. This puts them on track to surpass the Greenprint Center’s 2030 target of reducing emissions by at least 50 percent. Greenprint Center members reduced their emissions and energy consumption by employing a wide range of practices, including tenant engagement, waste reduction projects, and the installation of high-efficiency equipment. Because of these practices, emission reduction among members was equivalent to taking 12,600 cars off the road and planting 1.5 million trees.
