One of the Funding Partners of Starwood Capital Group, Eugene Gorab founded Greenfield Partners in 1997 and grew the company from 2 to 52 employees working in offices in Connecticut, Illinois, and Virginia. Eugene Gorab represents the firm in several professional membership organizations such as the Urban Land Institute (ULI).
The Urban Land Institute is a global network of real estate industry experts who are committed to the responsible use of land and the creation of sustainable communities worldwide. ULI facilitates several meetings and conferences to connect real estate professionals and community and industry leaders. One of the upcoming gatherings is the ULI Fall Meeting, which will be held September 18-21, 2019, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. The Fall Meeting is one of ULI’s flagship events and attracts more than 6,500 attendees from different areas of real estate. The four-day event is an excellent opportunity to learn from the leading industry experts who are at the height of their careers and working on innovative projects in real estate and community development. The event is also an ideal setting for participants to network with peers and gain valuable insights on deal-making strategies. Some of the invited speakers are Nikki R. Haley, the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Holly Sullivan, Director of worldwide economic development for Amazon, and Karen Washington, founder of Rise & Root Farm.
